I’m not sure why but I seem to be getting a lot more scanner noise in the images I get back on CD. It’s hard to be fair to cameras when you have to choose between sharpness with noise or softer looking focus with noise reduction. I’ll re-scan some and post so there’s a comparison.
Fuji Superia 400.
A strange composition but I like the fall sunflowers against the gray sky.
Where did they find Superior in Santa Fe? I’m dying over here!
Rocky the mouser. They just got him and he went right to work.
Demon-eyed Jem loves his nip tomato.
Kodacolor 200 — Develop before 06/1997. Not as expired as I had remembered but I also got it at a thrift store to its provenance is a complete unknown.
Hummingbird and shiny bark.
Not really but sort of. On 4 October 2015, a flock of wild turkeys decided to browse the yard for snacks. There were about twenty in all.
Just look at them, they’re freaking dinosaurs!
What are you looking at?
They’re smarter than they get credit for. One always periscopes while the others feed.
Tried to track while he moved. Fail as a turkey picture but nice abstract colors.
Canon 60D with Sigma DC 18-250mm 1:3.5-6.3 Macro HSM.
I was never that enamored of Rolleis until I actually used one — this is a great little camera! The 35B was made after Rollei moved manufacturing to Singapore. I have an older made-in-Germany 35 that needs some work. Time to dig it out of the stash and get busy.
Non-expired Fuji Superia 400. Processed and scanned by The Camera Shop of Santa Fe.
Hair after. Gorgeous either way. Used the Rollei 100 XLC flash.
Zoe in the messy workshop. I cropped it and applied some noise reduction for scanner noise.
Beautiful six-pointed starring. A little of the leak from opening the back.
Another aspen shot from near the top of the run. Minor level and saturation tweaks on this one too.
I was really bummed to have ruined the runner shots.
Converted to B&W with some work on the levels where the leak overexposed. It’s something.
It’ll be a little while before I post more. I’m shooting slide film and I want several rolls ready to go before I process. E6 chemicals are a little pricey and don’t last long so I’ll use it all up in one go.
I sold this camera. I got the 35 working-ish but I’m holding out for an f/2.8 model.
